PRIVACY POLICY

This Privacy Policy explains how Healthcare Now Limited, trading as Weight Loss Injections, collects, stores, uses, and protects your personal data. We are committed to safeguarding your privacy and complying with the General Data Protection Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (GDPR), the Data Protection Act 2018 and the European Communities (Electronic Communications Networks and Services) (Privacy and Electronic Communications) Regulations 2011.

WHO WE ARE

Healthcare Now Limited operates Weight Loss Injections, a company registered in Ireland under Company Registration Number 664253, with a registered office at Landscape House, Baldonnell Business Park, Dublin 22, D22 P3K7. We provide doctor-led online consultations for medical weight management, with prescriptions dispensed by licensed pharmacies. Healthcare Now Limited is the data controller for the personal data described in this policy.

WHAT INFORMATION WE COLLECT

We may collect the following types of data:

Personal information: name, address, date of birth, phone number, email address
Health information: details relevant to your weight loss goals and your suitability for treatment
Payment information: collected and processed by a secure third-party payment provider (Stripe)
Usage data: IP address, browser type, device information, website activity
Communication preferences: the channels you have told us you are happy to be contacted on, and whether you have opted in to marketing and feedback requests

We collect data when you fill in online forms, book or complete a consultation, interact with our team, place an order or use our website.

WHY WE COLLECT YOUR DATA

We collect and process your data to:

Provide our services, including consultations and prescriptions
Comply with legal and medical record-keeping obligations
Process payments securely
Communicate with you about your care and treatment, including consultation reminders, prescription updates, order status and clinical follow-up
Ask for your feedback or a review of our service, and send you information about our services and offers, where you have opted in
Improve our website and services

We will only collect health-related data with your explicit consent and will always process it with the utmost care and confidentiality.

How we contact you

Messages about your care. We contact you about your consultations, prescriptions and orders using the contact details you give us. These messages are part of the service and may be sent by email, phone or SMS. They do not require your marketing consent. Messages are sent under a neutral sender name that does not identify the nature of our service.

Marketing and feedback. We will only send you newsletters, offers, promotional messages, or requests for feedback or reviews if you have opted in to receive them, or through the communication preferences in your patient account. You can opt out at any time by replying STOP to a message, using the unsubscribe link in an email, or emailing hello@weightlossinjections.ie. Opting out of marketing does not affect messages about your care. We keep a record of when and how you opted in or out.

WhatsApp. We may message you on WhatsApp, which is operated by Meta Platforms Ireland Limited. When we do, Meta processes your phone number and the fact that you have received a message from us, under WhatsApp’s own terms and privacy policy. We do not send clinical details, prescriptions or medical records over WhatsApp.

LEGAL BASIS FOR PROCESSING

We rely on the following legal bases:
Performance of a contract: to provide consultations and prescriptions and to communicate with you about your care
Explicit consent: to process your health information (Article 9(2)(a) GDPR)
Consent: to send you marketing, newsletters, feedback and review requests, and to use cookies that are not strictly necessary
Legal obligation: to keep medical records and meet regulatory requirements
Legitimate interests: to improve our services, keep our systems secure and defend legal claims

Where we rely on consent, you can withdraw it at any time. This does not affect processing carried out before you withdrew it.

WHO WE SHARE YOUR DATA WITH

We may share your data with:

Licensed healthcare professionals and partner pharmacies involved in your treatment
Our technology providers, including hosting and payment (Stripe)
Regulatory or legal bodies where required by law

All third parties are contractually required to handle your data in accordance with GDPR. Some of our providers may process limited data outside the European Economic Area. Where this happens we rely on the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses or an adequacy decision, and we take steps to ensure your data is protected to the standard required by GDPR.

HOW WE STORE AND PROTECT YOUR DATA

We use secure systems and protocols to protect your personal information from unauthorised access, alteration or disclosure. We store your medical records and account data on secure servers within the EU. Some communication and payment providers may process limited data, such as your phone number or email address, outside the EU as described above.

Stripe handles payment data, which is PCI-DSS compliant. We do not store full payment details on our servers.

HOW LONG WE KEEP YOUR DATA

We retain your personal data only for as long as necessary to:

Fulfil our services
Meet legal obligations, including medical records retention
Defend legal claims
Maintain business records

We retain health-related data for a minimum of 8 years, in line with Irish medical records guidance. We keep marketing preferences until you opt out, and we keep a record of your opt-out so we do not contact you again.

YOUR RIGHTS

Under GDPR, you have the right to:

Access your personal data
Request corrections
Request deletion
Restrict or object to processing
Object to direct marketing at any time, and we will stop
Withdraw your consent
Data portability
Lodge a complaint with the Data Protection Commission (www.dataprotection.ie)
