Dual-Action GLP-1/GIP Therapy

Active ingredient

Engages both GLP-1 and GIP receptors to regulate appetite, improve satiety, and support blood sugar control. This dual mechanism may support greater weight loss compared to single-pathway treatments.

How it works

Acts on GLP-1 and GIP receptors to help regulate appetite, increase satiety, and improve insulin sensitivity. This dual mechanism may result in greater weight loss compared to GLP-1 alone

Typical weight loss

Up to 22% of body weight¹

How to take

  • Self-injected under the skin (abdomen, thigh, or upper arm)
  • Simple once-weekly injection with pre-filled pen

Frequency

Once a week

Dosing

  • Titrated monthly | Titration pathways may vary, there is no one-size-fits-all approach.
  • GLP-1 Agonist (2.5 mg – 5 mg -7.5 mg – 10 mg – 12.5 mg – 15 mg )

FAQ

What treatments do you prescribe?

At WeightLossInjections.ie, we support weight management through doctor-led medical consultations. In appropriate clinical circumstances, prescribers may consider prescription treatments used in weight management, including injectable treatments that act on GLP-1 pathways, as well as treatments that act on both GLP-1 and GIP pathways.

Not all treatments are suitable for everyone. Every consultation is carefully reviewed by a licensed prescriber, and if a GLP-1- or GLP-1/GIP-based treatment is not considered clinically appropriate, it will not be prescribed. Patient safety is always the priority, and prescribers will guide patients toward the most appropriate option based on individual medical assessment.

Prescription treatments used in weight management are typically administered on a regular schedule, as determined by your prescriber.

Your doctor will provide guidance specific to your treatment plan, including how and when it should be used. If you have any questions about your schedule, your prescriber or pharmacist will be able to advise you.

We provide online medical consultations. If you are eligible, your prescriber may issue a prescription following your consultation.

Where a prescription is issued, it is sent to a licensed pharmacy for dispensing. The pharmacy will then advise on collection or delivery options, subject to their own services.

Ongoing medical oversight is an important part of treatment. Follow-up consultations are required to review progress and ensure continued suitability before any further prescriptions are considered.

These follow-up consultations are typically faster, as your information is securely stored and you can log back in.
